9 Random Things, for what its worth: In reflection of my friend Eric Easter thoughts. 1. Once a Boy Scout always a Boy Scout and I made Eagle, I amassed an impressive array of merit badges in random skills from archery, first aid to swimming and woodcutting. 2. I was a virgin when I stepped on Howard’s campus. But not for long. 3. Actually I a great athlete/scholar – basketball, football, baseball. I fell skiing in New Hampshire and never got back on skis or skates again. However, I do not remember the last time I unlaced my sneakers for the last time. 4. As accidental brushes with historical moments and history makers go, I have met President Clinton and President Carter. 5. I was not born in this country, but was born on an Army base in Germany. 6. My first job, at age 15, was selling auto parts in Newark, NJ. 7. I am a father of 3 and grandfather of 3. 8. I will be celebrating 40 years the first time walking on Howard’s campus on August 9, 2014. 9. I hold two degrees from Howard University and I will not let an outsider speak ill of my school.
