96 years ago today World War I ended and my daddy came into this world raising hell. At least thats what he said. He made it just in time to get drafted into World War ll. He served as a radar operator for the Army Air Corps. He talked of a humorous side of the war with some of his storys. Like during the battle of the Poe river valley his unit guided the bomber planes over the bridges to block the Germans retreat. He said they were giving up faster than they could take them prisoners. Another thing he used to tell was about the French drivers over there. He said if they would give a Jeep to every French soldier then they would run over the German army. But there were some bad times too he didnt want to talk too much about. Glad he came back so many didnt. Happy Birthday Pap. We Love you and miss you very much.
