A 15-year-old with autism thought he was taking the ALS ice bucket challenge — but instead of water, his family says a group of juveniles doused the Ohio teen with a mix of urine, feces, spit and cigarette butts. The incident was recorded on the boys cellphone and reportedly posted on Instagram by the group. His family chose to share the video in an effort to raise awareness of bullying. “The bucket challenge is supposed to be raising awareness for this disease and now they’ve turned it into a sick joke,” his mom said. “I just can’t understand why kids would do something this cruel.” An investigation is underway and criminal charges may be filed, according to police.
