A 2nd ENGINEER POSITION ON 49M EXPEDITION YACHT (PRIVATE/CHARTER) MARSHALL ISLAND FLAGGED YACHT INFORMATION: A 49m expedition motor yacht is searching for a 2ND Engineer to join a multi-national crew of 12. The yacht is spending the winter in the Southern Ocean with trips to Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. The yacht is ideally looking for someone who has qualifications and experience or would consider someone that has graduated from engineering school. Must have a strong IT/electrical back-ground. The candidate must be well groomed, a team player with a strong work ethic, and willing to learn through hard work and long hours. Compensation includes medical insurance, two months paid vacation, and one return air ticket home per year. The candidate needs to be between the ages of mid 20’s to mid 30’s. The yacht has a cruising program that will be going to some very exciting and different places however these places will be quite remote at times so limited opportunity to interact on a regular basis with other people other than the crew, you are living and working with so it is important that you are a team player and have a easy character. QUALIFICATIONS: MUST HAVE STRONG ELECTRONIC/ IT BACKGROUND. Y3 ticket or Class 3 ticket, STCW95, ENG1 Medical, Non-smoker. Engineering school graduate, Y4 or higher (or equivalent) Minimum 2-3 years experience ITINERARY: Southern Ocean with trips to Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. Start Date: October 1st 2013 or earlier if you can. Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $5500.00USD per month Salary will be very much dependent on experience.
