A 7-year-old was asked to give a talk in front of class. He chose to speak about his ambition to become a cop in NZ. Here is his speech: Talofa my name is Roman and my speech is about my wish is to be a Samoan police officer. I want to help others, make people feel safe if they have an emergency, and speak to them in Samoan. Samoan is my culture and my language and it’s important to me. I want to support people in my community. I could go on dangerous missions and stop people from doing bad things. I could arrest criminals and talk to them so they can be honest and think what they have done to innocent people. It would be cool to be a police officer because I could make the sirens on the police cars go. I want to do the fitness training so I can be big and strong. I could have a police dog too, they can sense bad people and they look after their owners. Last of all I would be able to be police partners with my best friend Lopati. That’s my dream and I can’t wait until I’m 18 and I can join the police. Thank you for listening to my speech.
