PADRES: A few of you guys were very interested in the position with the Padres. I strongly encourage each of you to take the initiative to apply if you are even on the fence about it. I urge you to all join AT LEAST one. Im in all of them, so dont feel like you need to pledge allegiance to only one org! Thats not the point. If you feel that your best fit is with MESA, still check out Foodies! If you know you love NSMH (how could you not??) still attend events with RTSA. Each group has something special to offer, and collectively we are truly a little HTM family. HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU HEAR, GET INVOLVED, TODAY? I promise, theres a reason. NATIONALS: Attending the NSMH Nationals has been the highlight of my college experience. If you are even considering going, please please please let me know! It is a life-changing experience, and will submerge you into the major, getting involved, and one step closer to being successful in this industry. I will be posting the emails I send there as well, so its just for convenience :) This is not mandatory though, so dont worry if you dont join it. https://facebook/groups/851923674833981/ WRITE-UPS AND PORTFOLIOS Today, you all took notes and are starting to work on your Portfolio. Your portfolio is something you will be holding onto as long as you are in HTM. I still have mine (Ill bring it to class one of these days). This is where you get to show off your creative side. Your portfolio can be a scrapbook, a blog, a website, a book, an exhibit... ANYTHING you think can portray all the necessary elements. Creativity and uniqueness is key. What you will do is come up with a theme and start putting these things together. The assignment is now posted, so look it over. You DO NOT want to procrastinate on this one. Its worth a great portion of your final grade. SCAVENGER HUNT I have included the list of your scavenger hunt groups. Yes, they are finalized unless there is a serious problem that arises (i.e., someone drops the class and your group is too small). My advice would be to get started on that sooner rather than later. This WILL take time, but it is one of the most fun assignments we have in HTM. A * means they have a car! (The colors dont mean anything unless you want them to!)
