A Day in the life of NHB Today, NHB takes you on a journey to explore a “forgotten” reservoir! The size of three badminton courts, this water body is located on land zoned for park use near Mount Faber, less than 400m away from Telok Blangah Road. It dates back to more than a century ago and so has survived two World Wars. Given its remote location, it is not accessible to the public. But you can explore it right here: bit.ly/1BOj5Ho Created using the wearable Google Glass technology, the video is part of NHB’s ‘Heritage Through Google Glass’ video series. NHB researchers can now visit and document heritage sites across Singapore that are inaccessible to the public due to their remote and/or restricted location, and provide first-hand narrative accounts through video recordings. The Marsilling tunnels was the first site documented using Google Glass. Check out the inside of the Marsilling tunnels if you haven’t seen them before bit.ly/1ji9Vgg * This series does not represent NHB’s endorsement of the products featured.
