I want everyone to take a look at this please. I really would like to help get the word out to people about this event and to help find things for them to raise as much money as possible. Robin Rapp: Hey, everybody!! The fundraiser is JUST 2 wks away!!!! I have received some items from some people on here who have donated for this cause but we could still use some more items!!! Please help me raise the money this family will need for final arrangements...here is all the info for those that have no idea what I am talking about: I am putting together a fundraiser for my best friend who is losing her battle to Cancer. In June 2010, Jennie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in the ovaries. When the cancer was found, it had already spread to other organs. Doctors gave Jennie 3 months to live in 2010 but she has tried to fight as hard as she can to beat the Cancer. Jennie has done Chemo off and on as much as she could have it for the past 3 yrs. Mid 2012 they found the cancer had gone to her liver, having numerous tumors. Doctors said they would continue chemo to try to prolong her life as long as they could. However, she was told towards the end of November 2012 that chemo wasnt working anymore and was switched from Palliative care to Hospice care. She was in the Elizabeth House for a couple months trying to get her pain under control. Jennie is 40 years old and is a single mom of 3 kids. Jennie is declining and does not have insurance, nor can her kids afford to pay for any kind of funeral arrangements. I am throwing this fundraiser for Jennie in hopes to raise the money to pay for her arrangements so that she doesnt have to spend whatever time she has left stressing out about it and so that her kids will not have to stress about it on top of losing their mom. Please help me help her by coming to this benefit. I will be having a hot dog plate with drink for 5.00 and we will sell raffle tickets for 1.00 and also have an auction...will raffle off the smaller items and auction off the bigger items.
