My landlord will not let me keep them as of now. We moved into the house we live in now earlier this year, I was recovering from meningitis and had been very sick for over three months. We couldnt afford the pet deposit and were hoping to get caught up and pay before the landlord noticed the dogs. However, he noticed them. My ex-husband has been keeping them for me but wants them, as he puts it, gone. Tomorrow is my deadline. We have five children, who adore these dogs, but we need a place to live. Most rentals are unfortunately, not pet friendly. I have been unable to find a foster family on my own. Someone may be interested in Sandy, but as of now I havent heard. Sandy is the smaller of the two. She is a mixed yellow lab. She will be turning ten in the spring. She is a sweet dog. She has never been a problem. She does, however, run and run fast if given the opportunity to get out. Chance is six, turning seven in the spring. He is, from what I am told, a shepherd/collie mix. He is a very loving sweet dog. He listens well. He was kicked out of a car on a highway in Denham Springs and that is how I ended up with him. He may have been abused before then because he is quick to cower. Both dogs are chipped and will be due for rabies shots in a couple of months. Neither of them have ever shown aggression of any sort, and have been good with other animals. Both are fixed. Again, I am seeking a foster for them for a couple of months until I can get my finances in order to pay deposit. I was almost there, but I had a car accident last week and had to use my savings to pay insurance deductible. Bad luck! While I am looking for a foster, if someone were to fall in love with them and want them I am okay with them having a new LOVING forever home.
