So many people always have an excuse as to why a living wage bill, or more accurately, everyone in the country (and world) making at least a living wage, would not work. Much of this surrounds the idea of if we did, then companies or their executives would not have enough money. I would like to suggest that if there was not enough money for any reason for everyone to get paid a minimum of a living wage, then what that means is our global economic system is based on NECESSARY economic exploitation. Which to me would be the very definition of having a broken system. So if our system is broken, please stop trying to defend our system.
