WESLEY GIRLS, UK DONATE TO ALMA MATER. Members of the UK branch of past students of the Wesley Girls High School, Cape Coast, have raised £5000 at a dinner dance at Marble Arch, in London. It was in aid of the schools water supply project. The guest of honour was Dr. Mary Chinery-Hesse, a retired Deputy Director-General of the International Labour Organisation(ILO). She said the old girls of the school were always willing and capable of supporting the school in various ways to uphold its sterling image. Dr. Chinery-Hesse commended the old girls union in the UK for their loyalty and concern for their alma mater. Dr. Naa Banor, a general medical practitioner and palliative care specialist, a member of the 1983 year group announced that GH¢6000 had been raised towards the purchase of a pick-up for the school.
