Here is a sad story: So you work for a company, not just any company a billion dollar company for almost 5 years. Not only do you work hard for this company and are devoted, you believe in this company. This company has done so much good in the community and for several of its employees. This company even has a charity set up just for its employees to Donate to and benefit from if a hardship should arrise. Then there comes a day when you are in need, you have been told by your Dr that you can not work due to medical issues with your pregnancy. This news is hard because you are faced with a situation where you are the provider for your family but yoy also want to ensure your unborn baby has a fighting chance at life. So what do you do? You of course contact your employer who you have thought so much of, surly they would help you in your time off need. After all four the pst 4 1/2 years your have given your hard earned money to a charity through your company to help fellow employees just like yourself when they find themselves in a tough situation. So you go through the needed steps, and you wait patiently for an answer that will dictate weather or not your family will have electricity, water, food or a roof over your head. Then you get your answer, YOU WERE DENIED THE HELP YOU SO DESPERATELY NEED. Then youre left with an empty space where hope used to be. How is it that you give to a charity that promises to help when or if you need it just denies you. Oh but there is a catch if you have your baby early and it had to go to a NICU for any amount of time and you have to take off to care for this baby, then you have a BETTER chance of getting approved for the help. I dont want to name this company because even though Im still in leave im still am employee and when I do get to go back to work I will need my job. Its a sad time when people cant lean on their place of employment in times of need. And again this charity gets close to a million dollars in donations. Makes you wonder where that money is going. I think the saddest part is that if you are a guest at this particular place and have bad service, all it takes is a call to a manager and youre meal is compt and you get a lovely 50 dollar gift card. Guess im on the wrong side of this deal.
