I have taken my stand on the Bible, and if that leads me wrong, then I will go wrong, and not care. I will not pry into the works of my watch. That is the watchmaker’s business, and if He can’t manage them and make them work, it is not likely I can, so I do not intend to worry over them. If the Bible is true, then it is true, and we can swing out loose upon its promises and its declarations. If it is not true, then nothing makes any difference, for there is no truth any where that we can get at. So I choose to sit on my Bible on top of that greased pole, and dangle my feet in the air, and disregard everything else. I have taken John 14:12–27 as expressing my special need and longing, and since they are our Lord’s own words, said with His own lips, I think He will know how to fulfil them to me, let my ignorance be what it may. And I know that when they are fulfilled, I shall be perfectly satisfied. And so will you. Do give up this introverting process, and seek for the manifestation of Christ to your soul.
