A FREE GIFT FOR YOU! Has anyone ever given you a FREE gift, that turned out not to really be a FREE gift? You may wonder how a Gift could not be a FREE gift! Well there are many ways that could happen, but one way is when someone gives you a gift and then later asks you to pay them back for the Gift, or says you need to do something to pay for the gift. Another way is when you get a gift from someone and then later on, they decide to take back the gift. If you are like me, then you have experienced one or more of these things in your life. The definition of the word Gift, is something voluntarily given or transferred by one person to another, Without Compensation and Without Expectation of returning or earning it. A Gift is the act, right, or power of giving, by someone who has the power to give freely. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Did you see that? The FREE GIFT of God.... Our Salvation and Eternal Life, is free to us from God and it is a Gift, meaning we can have it free for just believing in Jesus the Christ, and all that He has done on the Cross and in the Resurrection. We do not have to do anything nor could we do anything to earn it. Also since it is a Gift, God will never take it back from us. The Free Gift is Eternal Life and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, that takes place in all Born Again Believers the moment they first truly believe in Jesus the Christ and all that He has done for them. Not only does God give us this Free Gift, but He also seals us into the Body/Bride of Christ, as His own Possession. As we see in Ephesians 1. Ephesians 1:13-14 In Him (Jesus), you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -having also believed, you were sealed in Him (the Body/Bride of Christ, the church) with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of Gods own possession, to the praise of His glory. God gave us the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit as a PLEDGE, A PROMISE, from God, that all Born Again Believers belong to God through our Faith alone, and are sealed in Jesus the Christ until the day of Redemption of our Bodies. We are sealed with His Gift and God will not take it back and does not expect anything for the THIS FREE GIFT, .....EXCEPT OUR LOVE. And our Love comes from the Holy Spirit pouring out Gods Love into our Hearts for God and for Mankind. And from this Love we serve God by following the Leading of the Holy Spirit. NOT TO BUY OR EARN, HIS FREE GIFT HE HAS GIVEN TO US. What ever we do for God must be done out of our love for Who He Is....not for what He can give us or has given to us. Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, having been justified (Saved) by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult (have the joy of the Lord) in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. And we do not take this Free Gift lightly, it cost God His only begotten Son and in His Love, He gives this Free Gift to us to show us His Love. But we want to live our lives, showing Gods Love, to everyone, for this attracts those who are perishing to come to Salvation by faith in Jesus. Ephesians 4:1-8 Therefore I (Paul), the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the (Holy) Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body (of Christ) and one (Holy) Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism (baptism in the Holy Spirit), 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christs gift. May our God Who loves you so very much, Bless you in all of His Ways, throughout the rest of this year.
