A Few Summary points of Juzz 1 (Surah Baqarah): - Quran is a Book of Guidance and Allah guides those who wish for the Guidance. - Mankind is divided into 3 main groups depending on how they receive God’s message -- Believers, Disbelievers and Hypocrites The first category the people of Taqwa(fear of Allah) are described as those Who: a) Believe in the unseen b) Establish the prayer c) Spend on others in order to please Allah swt d) Believe in the present and previous revelations e) Are certain of the Hereafter The Disbelievers and the Hypocrites are described as people Who: a) Will disbelieve the new revelation whether they are warned or not b) Deceive themselves c) Have a disease in their hearts d) Are mischief makers on earth e) Blindly arrogant f) Exchange guidance for error g) Are dead, dumb and blind - Do not think You are Safe, Just because you said You Believe with your tongue. True believe in the heart And righteous deeds are Necessary for salvation! - When faith is lost, people put off obedience to Allah with various Excuses: even when at last they obey in the letter, they fail in the spirit! - Warning for the Believers : Do Not be like Bani Israel : Allah swt gave them honour and great privileges but they abused them, they put subtle and unnecessary questions when the command of Allah came . . and Allah knows the best! May Allah swt Guide us all and Forgive our shortcomings!
