A GOOD WEDNESDAY EVENING TO ALL ON FACE BOOK VAUGHNIANS,FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HAVE A WONDERFUL NIGHT AND A HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY CUZ DENISE DIAZ LOVE SO MUCH. OUT OF MY DISTRESS I CALLED TO THE LORD, AND HE ANSWERED ME ; FROM THE MIDST OF THE NETHER WORLD I CRIED FOR HELP, AND YOU HEARD MY VOICE. FOR YOU CAST ME INTO THE DEEP, INTO THE HEART OF THE SEA, AND THE FLOOD ENVELOPED ME ; ALL YOUR BREAKERS AND YOUR BILLOWS PASSED OVER ME ; THEN I SAID,¨I AM BANISHED FROM YOUR SIGHT! YET WOULD I AGAIN LOOK UPON YOUR HOLY TEMPLE,¨THE WATERS SWIRLED ABOUT ME, THREATENING MY LIFE ; THE ABYSS ENVELOPED ME ; SEAWEED CLUNG ABOUT MY HEAD. DOWN I WENT TO THE ROOTS OF THE MOUNTAINS ; THE BARS OF THE NETHER WORLD WERE CLOSING BEHIND ME FOREVER, BUT YOU BROUGHT UP MY LIFE FROM THE PIT, O LORD, MY GOD. WHEN MY SOUL FAINTED WITHIN ME, I REMEMBERED THE LORD ; MY PRAYER REACHED YOU IN YOUR HOLY TEMPLE. THOSE WHO WORSHIP VAIN IDOLS FORSAKE THEIR SOURCE OF MARCY. BUT I, WITH RESOUNDING PRAISE, WILL SACRIFICE TO YOU ; WHAT I HAVE VOWED I WILL PAY ; DELIVERANCE IS FROM THE LORD.AMEN. PRAYING WITH OUR ANGER ; ¨HAVE YOU REASON TO BE ANGRY?¨ Might be addressed to any one of us. anger is a frequent and common human emotion with both a good side and a bad. The good side of expressing anger is that it acts like the valve on a pressure cooker, enabling us to let off steam in appropriate ways so that we can cool down and face life¨s challenges with restored equilibrium. anger triggers our adrenalin for action, sometimes motivates us to take risky public action against injustice, and signals to us when our legitimate needs are not being met. But if anger gets out of control, we lose our balance and sometimes resort to violence. Anger flares up in us for many different legitimate and illegitimate reasons, as it did in our biblical ancestors. The psalms often shock us by the way they depict people¨s anger. It is important lesson for us about how we too should pray, bringing everything, all that we are and feel, before God--asking for God¨s help to heal these sentiments within us and to bring justice toward those who might have offended or harmed us. Instead of taking vengeance into our own hands, instead of resorting to violence ourselves, we ask God to render judgment. And we can be sure that God will respond as one who is slow to anger, abounding in mercy and forgiveness. By praying with and through our anger. we open ourselves to God¨s healing touch. ( HAVE A NICE NIGHT TO ALL ON F.B. )
