A HUGE thanks to everyone involved in last nights event, A Thirst for the Sea. Chefs Tony Garnett, Amy Tonquist and Wendy Park prepared amazing food. Their professional staff did a great job serving the guests. The wines from Foley Family Vineyards and Biltmore were perfectly paired with each course. Thank you Becky of Mutual Dist Co. Thanks also to Jack Saylor for his beautiful painting, A Thirst for the Sea. Bland Simpson was his usual entertaining self as Master of Ceremonies. The Core Sounds was perfect background music. The Weeks gill net boat was a great addition to the event and the seafood from the Smiths and Blue Ocean of Carteret Catch was wonderful. Vicki Mann and friends did a beautiful job with the decor, and the Harvey W. Smith Watercraft Center couldnt have been a better backdrop! Thank you to the NC Maritime Museum staff, all the guys at the Watercraft Center and the numerous volunteers that helped make last night a resounding success!!!!! .We thank you all...
