A Harvest Host to remember. Boondocking is fun, especially if doing so with a Harvest Host or boondockerswelcome. This Host in Friend, NE is particularly welcoming. We were met on arrival, shown where to park our Roadtrek and invited into the Pour House where a table had been prepared for us. Now the name is a play on words of the first play held in the adjoining Opera House in 1886 - Over the Hills to the Poor House. The sole purpose of the Pour House is to help raise funds for the restoration of this historic building. We were happy to help - by tasting some fine California and Italian wines and enjoying a charcuterie prepared by our host. Not really Boondocking I guess and we did spend a bit more than a campsite would cost but hey - it was just another example of the flexibility of the Roadtrek lifestyle. ..
