!!! A MESSAGE FOR LABOUR VOTERS AND ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES !!! I defy anyone to watch this video and not be affected by it. Im not embarrassed to admit that stories like this literally move me to tears. This is the grim reality of the UK today. Its not a one off, and its not the worst Ive heard. Just under two thirds of Labour voters are expected to vote NO on Thursday, because they think they are being loyal to the Labour Party. The Labour Party to which politicians in Scotland and the rest of the UK belong have allowed this to happen, and worse than that, they ignore it and say that the UK is great and we should stay together; inflicting yet more of this on families and individuals. Im sorry, but the Labour Party is supposed to represent the very people that they want to continue sending to foodbanks. I put it to each and every one of you that the Labour Party in Scotland right now IS NOT the real party of the working classes. There is a real Labour Party out there and it exists within the hearts and minds of the one third of ordinary Labour voters who have chosen to say enough is enough. The Labour for Independence movement is the real Labour Party, not these Red Tory pretenders masquerading as the peoples friend. No Labour voter should feel beholden to this party that wants you to say UKOK to foodbanks, austerity cuts, welfare theft, taxes on the vulnerable and starving children next door! Not every Labour politician is to be tarred with the same brush. As much as the BBC try to gloss over it, there have been scores of Labour politicians realising that the Party they have been elected to represent is no longer representing the people. These politicians, at great risk to their own personal future, have put their heads above the parapet and said loud and clear, this must end. I know there are yes voting Labour Councillors in West Dunbartonshire and its now time for them to be brave, join their colleagues, stand up to the bullies in their party and the powers that be at John Smith House. If you publicly come out for YES, it will give others the strength to do the same. You were elected as community leaders and by god there has never been a more important time to live up to that responsibility! On Thursday, we all have a choice to make and we can chose to bury our heads in the sand and allow Westminster to do with us as they please. Or we can vote to make a positive change and do things the way we want to for the benefit of the people of Scotland.
