A MESSAGE FROM THE CO Following is a message from our Commanding Officer to all the GT cadets who graduated last Friday, and their parents. But everyone is welcome to read it! To #1 Intake of General Training Cadets, HMCS Acadia, 08-19 July 2013: "As the General Training Cadets that graduated here at HMCS Acadia on Friday, 19 July, 2013 are now home safe and sound and back into their regular routine, I want to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank each and every one of you for the outstanding effort displayed while you were here at HMCS Acadia. Your commitment to the Cadet Program and in particular, to your fellow cadets in your Division was truly remarkable. Lessons learned during your time here certainly puts you all on your way to being great cadets, but more importantly, outstanding leaders of tomorrow in our great country. To the parents; I would like to share with you the sense of pride and accomplishment that was experienced here on Friday, 19 July during the Variety Concert and Graduation Parade for our General Training Cadets. Your sons and daughters have done HMCS Acadia very proud with all their accomplishments experienced during their two weeks of training. I would like to thank you for your strong support of the cadet program and I want you to also take pride in their many accomplishments. I trust they have pleasant memories of camp, have made some lifelong friends, will continue to work hard at the home units, and be first on the bus to return to HMCS Acadia next summer. Again, I speak for all 275 staff members when I say we welcome and look forward to having them back next summer. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your summer. Bravo Zulu!"
