Assistant Program Manager Delhi, Delhi The Assistant Program Manager will be required to spend 75% of time in supporting the program team. The following are the specific program responsibilities of the Assistant Program Manager - 1. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS Under supervision of Senior Manager- Programs; prepare, manage, and execute the programs being implemented in Sesame Workshop India Over-see the management of projects Managing associated team members and holding regular calls, taking updates. Capacity building of production team. Maintain reports, files and documents on the progress made Co-ordinate and manage research (agency and data collection) Provide inputs to program design and strategy Undertake regular meetings with senior government officials Maintain network with NGOs, consultants, government officials Interact closely with research agency, academicians, partners etc. Advocacy with government agencies and other partners Oversee distribution and documentation of materials Maintain and manage contracts and filing Oversee maintenance of partner lists, center and other contact details Review project progress from time to time and support program implementation accordingly Provide support in managing program budgets B. DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING Provide bi-weekly updates to Senior Manager- Programs; creating monthly updates on programs for internal team Review, and consolidate the reports for internal review and feedback Prepare donor reports as per requirements Manage any other documentation requirements Coordinate with the field team for program implementation Interact with the Education and Research team for any requirements/follow up Over-see dissemination Weekly updates to Senior Manager – Programs Submit weekly timesheets; ensuring regular timesheets and updates are shared by team members Escalation of any issues/challenges to the Senior Manager - Programs C. ADVOCACY AND FUND RAISING Support in proposal development and submissions Participate in relevant conferences, seminars and represent Sesame Workshop India at local, national or international forum Contribute to at least one journal/article Attend meetings with government or other stakeholders, as and when required. Qualifications 1. Minimum six years of work experience in an international or national NGO in a similar profile. A Master’s degree in Social Work, NGO Management, Social Sciences, Communications or related fields Experience of interacting with Government Departments (ICDS) would be beneficial Ability to manage partners, vendors Ability to handle a small team Ability to work under tight timelines Ability to work independently Proficiency in English; fluency in Hindi and knowledge of other Indian languages will be considered an added advantage Excellent in communication – written and verbal - document, presentation, summaries, reports Capacity to deliver quality work on time. Highly organized, energetic, motivated and committed Minimum Experience 1. Minimum six years of work experience in an international or national NGO in a similar profile.
