A MIRACULOUS BIRTH ... A ninety-year-old woman giving birth to a son fathered by a hundred-year-old man? Impossible--but thats what Sarah heard the Lord telling Abraham as she eavesdropped at the tent entrance. Sarah couldnt resist laughing to herself at the idea. Why did Sarah laugh? God asked Abraham. Is anything too hard for the Lord? God restated his promise that Sarah would have a son within a year. Frightened at the exposure of her thoughts, Sarah tried to deny her laughter. A year later, Sarah laughed openly and with joy, inviting others to join her. At the predicted time, Sarah gave birth too the promised son and heir whose name had already been chosen by God.
