A MOMENT OF GRIEF .This story is based on true events. As humans, every one of us has his own way of living, thinking and seeing things from different angles; therefore, dealing with life’s problems would be different from one to another. Some would think reasonably and be able to react properly. Others may rush, hast and fall into something or made something that could affect their life negatively. For me, I exclusively would like to tell you a story happened to a friend of mine that made her a totally different person than she used to be, a story that may happen to everyone’s life, including you, and could change his or her life negatively or positively according to the personality and the standards of the person in question. She was raised in a very humble, simple and modest family, her parents brought her up to be a good and reliable girl and not to cause troubles to others, but as a child she was always doing the opposite of her parents’ commands; she was cherished to her parents nevertheless. She had rebellious childhood as any other child in our community. We used to go to Masjid (mosque) together almost every day, reciting Qur’an, and playing all along the rest of the day. She was not a very smart girl at school that she was almost always punished by her teachers. Ironically, she deserved that because of her carelessness and not doing her homework as well. As years are passing now, she grew up with manners based on respecting others,” the garbage man before the president”, as she used to say. Things were going well in this stage, then all of a sudden, and with no preceding alarm, on a Wednesday of 2006, and as she was going home back from school, she came across her mother going home back from one of her neighbors’ houses too, she promptly went straight into the house without saying any word to her, even without looking at her. Her mother started crying, screaming and shouting on her father which he was already home, her loud shrieks were heard all over the neighborhood. She did not know what the problem was then. When her father went to work, she went to her mother’s chamber asking her what had happened, her mother refused to tell her in the beginning but she insisted on her when, eventually, the mother agreed: ‘’your father got married to another woman secretly’’, said the mother. She was prepared to hear any other unexpected shocking news except this one. The news had an unbearable impact on her, so how about her mother’s heart when been told for the first time! How could she stand and bear that? May Allah protect and reward them for their suffering both. The worst was on the way. A year later, her father abandoned them to be with his second wife and has never come back home again, never. For me, I am not against marrying a second wife, but one should do justice between them if he has to, and be careful not to do so. As they were left, her father refused to spend any penny on them, and I highlight when I say he refused to give any single penny to them. Therefore, her mother reported him to the local court to get her rights, and their rights in general, back. The mother did not want to do that, but she had to as she saw that they were grievously oppressed. In exchange for that, her father bribed a notary inciting him to say the opposite of the truth and the opposite of what was written in the papers……He won the trial due to what was indicated in the preceding line. The trial is still on actually. With the process of time, things went very well to her, she improved gradually as she finished her higher studies and found a job as an English teacher with a considerable salary. Finally, I would strongly recommend any reader of this essay whether a boy or a girl to seize the opportunity of any moment, any single moment is important in your life whether good or bad, enjoy it, live it, because that may be the turning point of your life to something UNEXPECTABLE and GREAT.
