‘A MOST WANTED MAN’ Philip Seymour Hoffman, Grigoriy Dobrygin. A Chechen Muslim illegally immigrates to Hamburg, where he gets caught in the international war on terror. A post 9/11 era where several groups are playing undercover spy vs spy are trying to thwart a large transfer of funds from getting in the hands of terrorists while attempting to get asylum for the escapee who has the means to complete the transfer. Very complicated, slow moving and not the thriller usually done with this kind of material. Hoffman, as always, gives a good performance, his second this year (God’s Pocket) following his death and yet to be seen in the final two “Hunger Games” later this year and next. Liked the intrigue but a little James Bond like action would have filled the theaters a lot more. 2 stars.
