A) Maore Day Recommendations not followed As usual, the day of November 12, corresponding to the date of admission of the Comoros to the United Nations in 1975 and called Maore Day will be celebrated at the National Assembly tomorrow, Wednesday. Dozens of speeches and recommendations will see the day as usual, but will never run. The Maore committee announced a poetic sleep tonight at the Independence place and on Tuesday a Theatrical play about immigration to Mayotte and human relations between the 4 Comorian islands will be played. It also reflects the major issues of the territorial dispute between France and the Comoros and Mayotte difficult cohabitation between the three sister’s islands. Former President Sambi has decided to declare a holiday for that Maore Day to advocate the unity and territorial integrity of the Comoros since 2007. It is clear that 7 years after the institution of the day, the recommendations made and approved by the authorities, from the simplest or most complex have not been followed. This is particularly the case of the suspension of exit visas to Mayotte, the establishment of a permanent secretariat in charge for the issue of Mayotte and the appointment of Mayotte to the government. Since 1994 the government never put the issue of Mayotte in the debates agenda respective to the General Meetings of the UN and contrary to constantly announcements made by the Comorian authorities, no frank negotiations have already taken place between France and the Comoros regarding the 40 years old territorial disputes.
