A McHenry couple celebrated their Christmas-themed wedding this weekend with the holiday spirit in mind. Deciding the usual pots, pans, odds and ends were unnecessary the couple instead asked for donated toys for The Salvation Army of Crystal Lake. “Sometimes it’s hard to give back, to make a big difference if you don’t have a lot of money or a ton of free time,” bride Dana Guardyak said. “I felt like this was a way we could really do something big, really have an impact.”
