A Message From MedSend President Rick Allen: As the year ends, - TopicsExpress

A Message From MedSend President Rick Allen: As the year ends, I have been reflecting on the events of 2014. When I meet MedSend grant recipients, I am humbled by their bold commitment to follow God’s call on their lives, and the gratitude they express for donors who help make their ministries possible. I want to share with you a thank you note that I received from Alisha McAfee, a Doctor of Optometry who was recently approved for a MedSend grant that will enable her to serve in Guatemala: “We are so thrilled and grateful to be accepted for a MedSend grant! There are no words for how happy we are right now. God has continued to push us forward in all aspects of this process. We are so thankful in advance for all of those willing to donate to us. Thank you so much for your continued correspondence and support. Most of all, thank you for believing and investing in us!” Dr. McAfee shares in her blog: “Because of all of the hard work that MedSend puts into getting donations, we now don’t have to worry about making my monthly loan payments while we are in Guatemala. The generous people who donate to MedSend have us covered. We will be moving to Guatemala not only with the peace of mind that this is where we are supposed to be, but also with people we have never even met standing at the sidelines cheering us on.” In the past year, MedSend has seen a record number of applications submitted from highly qualified healthcare professionals and we expect this to continue in 2015. We are excited by the enthusiasm and commitment of the men and women God is calling and we are asking Him to provide the donors who will help make their service possible. Would you prayerfully consider making a year-end donation to MedSend to help grant recipients like Dr. McAfee get to the mission field faster? Just click on the “Donate Now” button (link?) below to use your credit card to give securely online. Donations made by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, are tax-deductible in 2014. As MedSend’s president, I am constantly inspired by our grant recipients who give up so much to bring healthcare and the love of Jesus to people in need. At the same time, I am filled with gratitude for generous donors like you who stand “at the sidelines” cheering them on through your financial and prayer support. God bless you and Happy New Year! https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/medsend
