A Miracle. I bought a fancy GPS for our trip. Dumb thing worked on our way to SLC, but couldnt get it work in Paris, not one day. It couldnt acquire the satellites, our paper map was fine, so, oh, well. We get to Copenhagen and we need the dumb thing to work to find the temple. Nope, couldnt acquire the satellites. Clear skies, right maps, proper setup, nothing, took a taxi. We get to Stavanger, Norway and I REALLY needed the GPS to work, we were driving across Norway with half of it in the dark! Within 2 minutes of getting in the car, it was working, wrong language, but it was working. (Easy to change the language:)) It took us 13.5 hours to drive 394 miles, two hours were for sleep. We left Preikestolen at 5:00 pm, it was dark by 8:30 pm, it seemed half of the trip was on one way roads for two lane traffic, and 1/3 of the drive in tunnels as long as 5 miles. It was a crazy drive. Got into the hotel at the airport at 5:00 am, had to be at the airport at 6:00 am. Shortest hotel stay Ive ever had. Got to Stockholm, needed the GPS to work to get to the temple, nope didnt work, took the metro. A definite miracle for us - with Chuck Freebairn
