Some of you know that I lost my wedding band months ago (sometime around Valentines Day). This band held special significance for me because Eddie had just started his career and could not afford a large diamond engagement ring. I was working on the floor as an RN and the platinum band he gave me was just perfect. It was practical - easy to clean and never got stuck on IV lines or patient gowns. ;) Shortly thereafter, I did get the matching diamond ring but I frequently preferred the band because of its simple beauty. I cried and cried, and prayed and prayed that I would find the ring. Today is exactly one week since Simba passed on. I went to clean out his and Olives dog toys and what did I find sparkling in the bottom of the big wicker bin? MY DIAMOND BAND!!! Oh, I cried again! Tears of joy and sorrow...for I found my ring (and Im certain Simba led me to it) but I could not kiss and hug Simba to thank him. Thank you Simba for helping me find my ring! I just know you and God worked together on this!
