A Moment with God Matthew 11:29 (NKJV) - Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. The Clear Word - Work with Me and learn from e; for I am gentle and kind and you will discover a peace in you soul beyond anything you thought possible. * The world is quick to censure a struggling soul. Often the phrase if you just... precedes the captious helping hand. But, mere words are dust in the wind. LORD, Your way is a much more worthy teacher. Take My yoke upon You... brings me beside You so I can know for myself what is Truth. Your walk, Your love - Your life skills can then become my highest aspiration. Only in You Christ Jesus can I ever become competent. Only in You Christ Jesus will my walk stand stronger than mere words. Holy Spirit, keep me quiet until I have absorbed the Essence of Jesus. Make me a sponge! Tenderly He bade the toiling people, Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew11:29. In these words, Christ was speaking to every human being. Whether they know it or not, all are weary and heavy-laden. All are weighed down with burdens that only Christ can remove. The heaviest burden that we bear is the burden of sin. If we were left to bear this burden, it would crush us. But the Sinless One has taken our place. The Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6. He has borne the burden of our guilt. He will take the load from our weary shoulders. He will give us rest.
