***A PUPPY WITH SO MUCH POTENTIAL*** A volunteer writes, Helllllloooo handsome! Surrendered by his family were told that what they like best about him is that he listens, is affectionate and playful. At 9 months old, Chase has a maturity about him that belies his puppy status, and I actually thought he was older. He peed a river as soon as we were outside, confirming what his former owner told us that he is very house trained. Hes been gorgeously taken care of, his weight perfect for his size, his coat clean and groomed and hes friendly and sweet. He pulls a bit on the leash but is responsive to correction and checks up often to make sure were in sync. We sure are, Chase! Posing for pictures in the park, he makes an outstanding model, not minding being tethered and sweeping treats gently from my hand. He ignored other dogs we passed simply interested in enjoying a lovely fall afternoon. Returning to the shelter we stopped to say hello to two staff members on break, and Chase wagged his tail in greeting, gave little kisses and was happy to add two new people to his friends list. Off leash he chases and pounces on a tennis ball and does a sort of retrieve. Were told that hes well behaved in the home, knows sit and come, is good with kids, other dogs and cats. His low key, friendly and playful energy makes him an absolute delight to spend time with.....Hes looking forward to growing old with his new bestie, and if youre lucky that could be you!
