A Poem -- I title it "August 27th, 2013" Win or lose we come and cheer The ups the downs. Year after Year From Seaver to Boswell, Shamsky to Jones We bleed Orange and blue right down to our bones. Now it’s Wright and Harvey That we hold dear. Montero and Syndergaard both drawing near. Some come, some go, like Bay and Buck They return in strange colors, we wish them luck. Heroes are rare, but ours always stick. We love our team through thin and through thick. It hurts to be a Mets fan, this much is true. But I’ll never change. So just get a clue.
