A WORTHLESS BULB??? lf you buy a new bulb, with the aim of fixing it to a lamp-holder so as to produce light in your room, but discovers after fixing the bulb, that it did not produce the needed light nor come on at all; what will you do knowing fully well that the lamp-holder isnt the problem because its in good condition? You may decide to be a bit patient by still trying it once or twice more; but if it still does not produce light, you have no choice than to discard that bulb and get a new one that can produce light into the room, isnt it? YES! Every bulb that produces not light, will be discarded! Every tree that beareth not fruit, shall be cut down and burnt! In the same vein, every man/woman that professes to be a child of God, but has refused to shine their lights nor preach to others, is like the worthless bulb and will be thrown out! These days, its even difficult to differentiate some so-called believers from the people of the world. In their little corner, their lights isnt even blinking, let alone shining! Some are also shy to be identified with Christ; now imagine if JESUS was also shy to have gone through all the sufferings for you and I, who then will be saved? We keep complaining about the level of moral decadence in our society, the rate at which many false teachers have taken over the pulpit, and now preaching heresis; but yet, some have decided to still keep quiet and not tell others about the gospel of Jesus; thereby indirectly promoting the false teachers and letting them gain ground in the heart of the unsaved souls. God said in Ezekiel 3:19: When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. My dear brothers/sisters, what excuse do we have for not letting our lights shine as it ought to? NO EXCUSE! Hmmm...you may say: the city where I am is sensitive, I cant preach to anyone, It is not permitted. Oh yes, but if you are indeed willing, the Holy Spirit will always make a way for you; He knows the wisdom, or idea you need to go about it and at least a soul will be won to Christ; ONLY if you ask Him. There are still millions of unsaved souls who havent heard about the gospel of Christ; some have even been made to believe that theres no Heaven nor hell...But some of us who have been privileged by God to know the Truth and been saved by the grace of God, have refused to tell others about the Truth; WHAT A PITY! Why sit we here while souls keep perishing? We are so occupied with our selfish ambitions forgetting that the MAIN PURPOSE why weve been saved and still alive today, is to PREACH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. If you and I refuses to preach; then who will? Must we meet God empty-handed, with no soul to greet Him? By Gods grace and through the power of the Holy Ghost; WELL WORK (and WALK) the field of souls, together YOU AND I. Lets not hide our lights; let it shine in our little corner(office, school, house, etc). Let others see Jesus in us, let our lives point others to Christ. Lets keep fighting the good fight of faith! Lets remember our loved ones who are still living in sin, and pray for them. God who arrested Saul the persecutor, can and will arrest them and win them over! Your prayers can go a long way too. Charles H Spurgeon wrote: If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for. Dear one, are you still living in sin? Consider all Jesus went through for you and I; He left His glory and splendour above and decided to go the way of suffering for us. He gave Himself voluntarily as a sacrificial Lamb without blemish in order to pay our debts! He was struck by sharp blows, face covered with spittle, crowned with thorns, beaten with stripes, smitten and nailed to the cross! What humiliation and disgrace Jesus had to bear for us! But all these didnt make Him give up; the love in His heart for you and I, kept Him going! This made Him endure all till He paid the ultimate price!!! Is there any greater love than this??? He is calling out to you now, wont you heed His plea? The door of mercy wont be opened forever! The rapture will soon take place, the saints of God will be marching in soon; a lot will be caught unprepared! Hell is real, a place of torments; Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. Where will you and I be when the trumpet sounds??? Funmibi Cares but GOD CARES MORE!
