A YEAR AGO YESTERDAY. I GOT A CALL FROM MY DAUGHTER ABOUT A DOG - TopicsExpress

A YEAR AGO YESTERDAY. I GOT A CALL FROM MY DAUGHTER ABOUT A DOG RUNNING ON NORTH STREET, PEOPLE WERE TRYING TO CATCH HIM EVEN THE POLICE COULD NOT GET HIM FINALLY HE WAS CAUGHT AND HE CAME HOME TO ME, HE WAS SCANNED AND I WAS GIVEN THE DETAILS FROM THE VETS OF THE OWNER, THE OWNER DENIED HE WAS HERS, I TOOK HIM HOME, I REG HIM ON DOG LOST AND THEN SET OUT ON FACEBOOK TO TRY FIND THE OWNER WHO HAD MOVED AWAY ROM THIS ADDRESS, , HE SLEP WITH ME THE 1ST NIGHT. . NEXT DAY DOG LOST THE LOVLEY Helen Whitaker called me to get more details on finding the owner, she asked is he castrtued so i went to look, he had escaped i had had 6 foot fences. We then changed the details on dog lost to dog lost, that is when i came across my lovely friend Carol Ann Booth i went out searching all day and night looking for him, Through facebook i then received a private pm from a lovely lady telling me Cupid did still live at this house and the person i had spoken to was his owner. I got in my car and knocked on the door, in floods of tears, she asked me to come in and apologised for saying she did not know him(she was scared he had either been in an accident or bitten someone) and asked if i found him to bring him home. I then the following day got a pm to say a collie had walked into someones house and sat down, Carol said lets hope it is him . I jumped in my car and low and behold it was. With tears of joy i brought him back to my house knowing i had to return him to the owner, At this point quite a lot of people were supporting me and advised i keep a close eye on him, I took him to his home with the condition she left me visit every day and walked him for her as she had another dog a jack russell called Treacle too, Treacle was so happy to see him, I then the day after got a call saying he had slept soundly so i took myself off bought him new lead and colour and toys and treats and went to visit, I knocked on the door, were she ushered me in, I asked where Cupid was. she said no my dear he does not live in my house he lives in my GARAGE and took me through, I was heartbroken trying to hide me upset took him off for a walk and then spoke to friend about this, This is when i became friends with Solitaire Diamond I called every eve to see Cupid and treacle and then one day about three days after going home the owner called me to say come get him ive had enough. I dropped everything and went home and my daughter picked him up for me In the meantime the lovely Helen had lost her dog and decided to try adopt him , we went o visit a few times over a week and then he moved in, Sadly he did not take to Helen and we found out he had fear aggression so I had to go pick him up.. I sought help from different rescues and help from dog doctors , I could not find a rescue space for him anywhere. We then started to work on desensitsing him as due to living in a garage any household noise scared him the toaster popping, the light switch going on etc list was endless. Over time we realised all rescues were full and his only option was with us, Vets advised us to have him PTS unless we could get a rescue place and help, all door were closed no room at the inn Im afraid. I have had so many adjustments in my life to do as John has also had to change many things in my life, One being that my beautiful grandaughter who was born at christmas , is not allowed at my home due to him being here, which hurts dreadfully, but I could not go to my grave knowing i had done this to cupid, I started cross posting different dogs to help reunite with owners and then a dog called Marley went missing in Haworth i went on a little search as so many more did, At this point i met the lovely Louise Riley who came up to give me advise on Cupid and helped immensly as she had one a dog with the same issues as Cupid had. Little did i realise there was a organised search out looking for Marley, with Jane Hudson Caroline SpenceBarny Barny Zoe Alderson etc I went out looking alone that saturday This is where Ruby and Marley and Missing friends was formed, Through this group who went out in all weathers day and night looking for lost dogs, and after time people started asking us to help with rehoming so really it was inevitable that Aireworth Dogs In Need was formed this is when i met the wonderful Linda Dufton and so so many more . So my dear Cupid I have met some amazing wonderful friends through you my love, and a lifelong ambition took place 8 weeks ago. I Thank you xx from your mum x PS this is the short version lol
