A big Thank You to Austin Fire Department station 17 for some excellent training. Luitenant Tice Porterfield , BCESD #4 president, Ryan Glazener, and Adam Torres were on hand and delivered some excellent training to the Bertram Fire Department even though the weather was not ideal for spraying water. The class was called nozzle forward , which teaches better ways to move hose and use the nozzle more effectively.This is a technique that is now being used by Austin FD throughout the entire department and is especially designed for large hand lines.
