A big part of leadership are those moments you recognize, and either take advantage of, or you you create...and it sends a loud and resounding message in the face of adversity. It comforts those you have chosen to lead, and it puts those who would do us harm on notice! I was moved into action, and forever changed when I saw President Bush on the smoldering pile, have his bullhorn moment after 9/11. We hear you...the whole world hears you...and those who knocked down those buildings will hear from all of us very soon! It still gives me chills and reminds me of those days... This was another moment President Bush used to comfort the nation. This too was a huge security risk, and a logistical challenge. He likely had to get off the couch, and maybe he even had to not watch football all day long. This display of leadership is missing from this President. I have said this many times on air...President Obama will never have his bullhorn moment. He will never be able to walk onto that mound, and put his thumb symbolically in the air, and throw that strike down the middle of the plate. He lacks what it takes. He is a weak leader, without moral clarity, or the ability to rally a nation, or other nations behind the values of liberty and freedom. And he throws like a sissy... Its not all about policy, and its certainly not all about politics. Leadership matters.
