A bit late, but our must needed review of the fashion weeks is just in time for a rainy autumn weekend giving you time to day dream and contemplate your future must have wardrobe fashion essentials. Beginning with London fashion week, designers were not afraid to take risks and try new things this year with Christopher Rayburn using recycled fibres within his designs, aiming to make his collections self-sustainable, Mulberry using live animals on the catwalk and Anya Hindmarch displaying handbags suspended in mid-air and models in harnesses (who would have thought?). Each fashion week was jam packed bringing with them new trends for SS2014, most evidently delicate pastel shades of blues and pinks which were used by the majority of designers… Mulberry, Johnothan Saunders, Christopher Kayne, Versace and Roberto Cavalli to name a few. Milan Fashion week brought with it a newly desired silhouette for women, of broad shoulders and a visible midriff. Whereas Paris fashion week, designers explored the elegant layering of beautiful fabrics. It’s an outstanding year for fashion.
