A bittersweet mamas day. Hittin pretty hard how much i miss my Mama. But for a different perspective, Rox was in a considerable amount of pain last night when she went to bed. So she decided, to ease her mind and shift her focus from the pain, to try and reflect on one good memory of her childhood with her mother. She drew a blank. Not ONE good memory. Nothing. As far back as she can remember. The reality is that some mom-child relationships really do suck. She had a tough kid-hood as far as moms are concerned. This simply doesnt compute with me. Cant relate to it. But its a reality that changes my perspective. On a more positive note, Rox had a mom in my mother, and also one of the church ladies (Phyllis), so for that I am, as is she, truly thankful for mothers. Regardless of whether or not theyre the real mom. They dont have to be real moms. They just have to be Moms. So thanks Mom, and my other moms, I am tremendously blessed.
