A contract position vacancy for Deputy Director: Financial Management & Administration currently exist within the RSEP/VPUU programme within the Department of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning. The RSEP/VPUU programmes is a new pro-poor neighbourhood upgrading, safety enhancing and integrated social service delivery programme implemented in six municipalities in the Western Cape over four years. The programme funds involve international donor funding and provincial funding. The total programme value is in excess of R200m which includes international donor funding and project implementation by municipalities and other line departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for all the financial and administrative aspects of the programme including: Budgeting performance reporting; and providing strategic advice. The candidate will oversee the financial aspects of the work of the VPUU NPC. The candidate will also generally assist the programme manager and deputy programme manager with any other task related to the programme.
