A couple of photos taken at Viera Wetlands in central Florida earlier this week. There were lots of birds to photograph but both mornings I was there the fog was pretty dense early in the morning and gradually burned off. I used the poor light conditions to assess the high ISO capabilities of the new (for me, bought a used one) Nikon D4. Both photos were taken with a 500mm f/4 lens + a 2x teleconverter attached to the D4 using a tripod for stability. Settings for the first shot were 1/2500 sec at f/9, ISO 5000. For the second - 1/2500 sec at f/10, ISO 2000. Some cropping of the images has occurred and Ive done my best to reduce the noise and sharpen the images using Photoshop. The results are not spectacular, but they are much, much better than what I was able to obtain with my D300s or D7100 camera bodies.
