A couple of weeks ago, we were alerted to Moses who was surrendered to a town animal control by his owner (no information is able to be obtained from them) in Illinois. That small village AC then turned over all of their dogs to a large shelter. Illinois Dobie Rescue in turn saw him, and pulled him; he was scheduled for euthanasia and the reason was aged. Of course shelter has limited cage space. The next day his foster drove him to his long time friend/well-known Stafford handler Holley to properly ID. They both feel he is only 5-6 years of age. He was still intact, so SBTCA Rescue has split the costs with Illinois Dobie Rescue for Moses to be vetted, he did have KC, was chipped and then altered. He already has an adopter via Holley. This appearing to be well-bred, typey dog seemed to act as he was a possible former show dog in his past??? He knew how to free bait/stack for treats. Please breeders, chip your pups and keep in contact with your buyers!
