A danger in the high school years is when youth go underground with their thoughts and feelings. The pinball machine atmosphere of social, academic, and athletic demands can be bewildering to the rapidly developing adolescent brain. Keeping the dialogue alive during the teen years is not always easy, but its a worthwhile goal in order to protect teens from being overwhelmed and finding outlets for their confused thoughts and feelings that do more harm than good. - Cynthia Bulik If they wont talk to you- make sure they are talking to someone.
