A dear friend asked me a thought provoking question yesterday and honestly its not one I hadnt thought of, and even experienced. what would you do if God doesnt answer you the way you want? I told her that I have had many talks with God about having a child with a disability and with health issues. I am quite aware that 10 out of 10 people die. I am also aware that when you live with a person with a medical need, elderly or child, people almost expect that you are constantly worried about their life. In a way, this is true, and in a way this is false. You have to choose to live, every day. Its not always easy, but you have to make a choice. Then, you have to know that others are watching you, trying to figure out their own faith plans and that this really isnt yours to do for them, only to be aware, you are being watched. Then, something tragic happens to a normal person, they die unexpectedly and people say its tragic. To me, all death is hard, doesnt matter if it is expected or not. If a person is loved, then its hard. No one person is better than the other based on their functionality. That being said, how do people deal with faith when their prayers arent answered the way they want. First off, I want you to know, that every prayer I have had has not been answered the way I think it should be. My son still doesnt eat, walk or talk. I live in two worlds, one world where people compete for everything and one world where breathing and doing anything on ones own is a complete miracle. Do I know how my faith is going to be on any given day? Absolutely not. I believe that we struggle through life trying to understand things that we arent really even ever going to, and then we get lost. I also believe that when my faith isnt strong, or your faith isnt strong, that is when others step in to pray and intercede. I believe that the Holy Spirit makes sounds that are beyond any words and is praying for blessings on people going through hard spots. I dont have the answers beyond that, and I am not an expert on anything but being human, and well, being human is hard, a lot to of the time. We are spiritual beings living in physical shells. Thats all I know
