A different kind of palette from the first two. :-) Break Away (Wave) by Joyce Hutchinson March 18,2013 My heart shows my eyes as I stand on the shore, My feet feel the sand moving under my sole. When I look out at the horizon I wonder whats next? I look, already knowing, why am I so perplexed? Each time I see a wave breaking in to the rocks, Along comes your hurt to crash in my thoughts. Each time I see a wave break away to the sea, I see another piece of my heart tear and fade from me. Breaking away like the waves back to sea, Taking away all the grief out of me. Set me free so I can long to love again, Leaving behind - Never forward this pain. Break away...................I cant stay. Break away...................I cant stay anymore. I listen as the pain roles in with the waves songs, Comes crashing in loud like thunder. I listen each time as my heart rolls out along, Each wave bubbles softer-Fizzling away all its wonder. I tried to tell you so many times all those days, all those ways, How empty I felt each time youd walk by, No touch, no caress, Id hide my lonely waste, You carried your guilt right out of my life. So here I stand with my heart on the shore, No more wondering what the future has in store. Standing strong for the first time, theres no more doubts. Ive thrown to the sea what the past was all about. Breaking away like the waves back to sea, Taking away all the grief out of me.
