A faith community which has provided public leadership on the struggle for dignity, equality and freedom for Palestine! Fortunately, other religious and secular faith traditions have been joining the struggle. For Christians, the Kairos Palestine Document (kairospalestine.ps) has been extremely significant. Its time for Palestine! A kairos opportunity for us to stand on the right side. Yes, its that simple. The oppression of Palestine is not a complex issue, not rocket-science, not a lost cause. Palestinians can be free tomorrow if you, me, South Africa, the United Nations (which is so weak and impotent that Israel can violate 65 international laws without accountability), the USA (especially, since it finances the oppression by Israel), the churches (which provide so much ideological capital to the heresy of zionism), and the international community at large ..... united in solidarity with the people of Palestine to say Phansi apartheid Israel phansi! So our protests and #BDS actions are going ahead - with utter determination and urgency - to stop Israel from its countless crimes against humanity - for which it and its allies will have to account - and to forge ahead with a vision of a just peace. So let us join our muslim brothers and sisters who model that vision for us in their solidarity with all people of Palestine.
