A fan is a blind follower of the team, does not have decision making privileges in the sense that he can only celebrate good results and moan poor results. He does not have any specified obligations towards the team except what he personally decides. The team should however hold on to their fans because the bigger the fanbase, the bigger the teams brand and the easier it becomes to get corporate sponsorships. Plus fans may benefit the club directly through gate collections and purchase of merchandise. A member may have registration and or periodical subscription obligations. A member can be thought of as a part owner and consequently has decision making privileges through the teams AGMs and or SGMs. Most members are fans of the club but this is not a pre-requirement. some people may become members for their own personal interests in the team. A supporter is a fan or a member who obligates himself to assisting the club achieve its objective and generally grow to better heights than it currently is. A supporter may find himself engaging the Executive from time to time either as an adviser or a positive critic. It is to his advantage if a supporter is also a member because he gets platforms such us AGM, SGM and even legal channels through which his agenda can be advanced.
