A feel good story about an awesome couple that I can call Aunt and Uncle!! ......about a month ago while at work, I received a different kind of phone call. (Different, meaning it wasnt the usual Im looking for my package. It said its at your post office!) It was an elderly lady, with a quivering voice who sounded really distressed.... Good morning, Whitewater Post Office, this is Sherrie Yes, could you tell me N__ P___ number please? Well this was different I thought... Knowing who she was talking about, I reminded her where she had called and asked her why she needed to get a hold of him. Almost in tears she said that her furnace wouldnt turn off and it was so hot in her house. This was one of those really beautiful fall days we had in October and I knew her furnace should not have been running. When I looked up the number for her and asked her to repeat it to me, she had the numbers a little mixed up. Then I thought about my Aunt and Uncle, who I know just lived down the rode from this elderly lady. So I asked her do you know Jack and Marilynne Albrecht? Yes she said I know of them. Then I asked her, would you feel comfortable if I called them for you, to have them run over to look at it? You could almost here her sob with gratitude! Yes, honey! That would be great! Thats whats so nice about living in a small community! Needless to say, that when I called them to ask them this huge favor and relate the story, they gladly said sure honey! Well run right down there. (I can almost hear Aunt Marilyn yelling, Jack, get your shoes on!) :) I believe they were this elderly ladies blessing in disguise... When they arrived at her house, she let them in right away. Marilyn said the house was at over 90 degrees!! Wow!! Jack called the furnace man, who HAPPENED to be on a call only a mile down the road and they offered to stay with her until the furnace man was done. Some would say that this was going above and beyond...but they would say yes, I had a great day today! We didnt do nothing much..... Love and hugs to you Marilyn and Jack!!! You deserved the recognition for what you did that day!!! Thank You!! Love You!! :)
