A few Mothers Day words What an awesome Mothers Day at Shirleys. During todays service, while taking names, seating people and walking all around the different areas of the restaurant, I was so proud of all our staff. Especially all the mothers that gave up their special day to serve and represent the Shirleys brand in a truly outstanding manner. My mom, Shirley, who has more than earned her right to sit at home and enjoy the fruits of her labor, was working in the kitchen prepping, (even before I arrived). My wife, Angie, who was there before anyone and was responsible for cooking most of the food served. She was also, responsible for the countless guests raving and saying things like its just like grandmas and its as good as it has ever been. To me, no greater complement can be given. My daughter, Kaylyn and Janice, who stood behind the steam table and aided in dipping the food all day. Becky who cooks during service to assure that the food is fresh and has the signature taste our guests demand and deserve. My brother, Forrest who fried all the chicken and helped in the kitchen. The massive task Donis, Sarah, Katy, Charles, AJ and Jessica had in keeping the dishes washed. All those orders were carried to tables by Mick (with exception of the few I carried for him in between services trying to give him a break. Our floor staff Patti, Maryetta, Ruby, Trina, Angie, Amanda, Ally, Brody, Kaylee, Barbara, Mike, Kim and Michaela were all lauded by many guests throughout the day. Great job guys All of us at Shirleys Home Cooking would like to say Happy Mothers Day to the mothers out there in Facebook land. It was another record day and for that, we say Thank You and we look forward to your next visit.
