A few days ago I was driving home from my trip to Reno. Took 395. An older ford explorer was in front of me and as we were passing a truck he slammed on his brakes. Luckily I did not hit him, I passed him and got in front of him when he suddenly flips police lights on and pulls me over. I wasnt speeding and I didnt do anything wrong but still I (stupidly) pulled over. Out comes a man in plain clothes, very overweight, missing teeth, unkept, and creepy looking. He tells me he wanted to pull me over to tell me I was being rude. The entire time he was nervously rubbing his hands and looking in my car. He tells me he is a detective. It all felt very wrong and he didnt have a badge or anything so I started to feel uneasy. He tells me to slow down (I was never speeding btw) and lets me go. The second I had cell reception I call Aaron and he tells me to call the police. I ended up speaking with the sheriffs dept, police dept & highway patrol. All three have NO record of me being pulled over. Highway patrol tells me that they would never pull someone over in an unmarked car and that I should have called 911 immediately before pulling over. Over the course of the next few hours I received numerous calls from all departments asking me more detailed information and am told they have no detectives matching that description and that a detective wouldnt pull me over in an unmarked car. They were actively searching for the guy. Anyways... Im not sure if it was a jerk detective abusing his authority or a crazy serial killer that suddenly noticed I had 4 little witnesses and decided it wasnt worth his time... BUT tonight I read that remains of a human body were found today in that exact location... Down to the mile of where I was at. I am completely freaked out & want to remind everyone to be super leery of unmarked cars pulling you over!
