A few notes from todays practice: --Team was outside in helmets, shorts and shoulder pads. --In position drills, every defensive position was working on stripping the ball. --Quick notes on a few of the injured players TJ Yeldon (strained hamstring) was dressed but not participating in the early running back drills. With Yeldon observing, Derrick Henry (shoulder) was first in line in drills. I hope they sit him so he can heal. Nick Saban said in his press conference earlier today that wide receiver DeAndrew White (shoulder) will practice this week and a decision will be made later this week in terms of his availability for Saturdays game. White was going through drills this afternoon. Eddie Jackson (bruised quad) was dressed and participating in cornerback drills. The Tide heads into the Florida game minus safety Nick Perry for the first half due to the targeting penalty he was assessed in the second half of the Southern Miss game. Perry was working as usual in drills today. Nick Saban said in press conference earlier today that Jarrick Williams (foot) would start doing some running and drills this week but that hes a longshot to play against the Gators. --The media viewing period was brief, so there wasnt an opportunity to get a glimpse how of the secondary was lining up in the various packages. ~ kp
